DOG Congress 2025

TOFU Registry Team Presents Five Years of Clinical Data at the DOG Congress 2025

Our team participated in the 2025 Congress of the German Ophthalmological Society (DOG) to present the latest milestone findings from the TOFU Registry (Treatment Exit Options for Uveitis). As the oldest scientific ophthalmological society in the world, founded in 1857, the DOG brings together leading clinicians and researchers to share advancements in eye care.

Non-infectious uveitis is a serious inflammatory eye condition and a primary cause of visual impairment among working-age adults. While clear guidelines exist for initiating treatment, there is currently a major lack of evidence on when and how to safely taper or stop therapy. Finding safe "treatment exit options" is essential to protect patients from unnecessary long-term medication side effects while preserving their vision.

At the congress, we presented baseline findings from the registry’s first five years, which now encompasses data from nearly 1,000 prospectively documented patients across Germany and expanding European sites. The TOFU registry continues to generate high-quality clinical data aimed at establishing clear, evidence-based standards for treatment reduction and discontinuation.
